Bay Window - A framed stationary piece of glass that is offered as an option on A.R.E.'s TW-Series model. The bay window allows for more light to enter the bed of the pickup truck. E-Lock/Electric Lock/Remote Keyless Entry - This system wires into the trucks power locking system. When the door of the truck is locked or unlocked, the A.R.E. cap or cover handle will also lock or unlock. This option is available for the LSII, LSX, and Z Series only. Fabric Headliner - A durable polypropylene material that looks and feel like carpet, but won't mold or mildew. It gives the inside of the cap a clean look while helping absorb any condensation that could occur. Fascia - A small plastic piece that is designed to cosmetically fill recessed areas of our fiberglass caps that are not completely covered by certain side window options. Lift Assist Arm - An assist system that is attached to the gas props of A.R.E. fiberglass tonneau covers. The lift assist system captures 200+ lbs. of constant stress while making it easy to open and close your fiberglass cover smoothly, by absorbing and balancing the stress exerted by the pressure contained in the gas props. Mitered Half Slider Window - A framed side sliding window, which has side fascia pieces integrated into the design. The side fascia pieces completely fill the fiberglass recessed area of some model truck caps, for a more custom look. The rear half of the window slides forward, allowing ventilation through the integrated screen. Palm Handle - The patented lock handle we use on our Z-Series truck cap, and LSII/LSX Series fiberglass tonneau covers. Radius Half Slider - A framed side sliding window. The rear half of the window slides forward, allowing ventilation through the integrated screen. Recessed Window or Door - A designed recess in some fiberglass caps, which accommodates a side window or rear door. This recessed design gives the windows / doors a smooth, flush appearance. Rotary Slam Latch - Allows the rear door to be closed and latched into place by simply slamming the door shut. Scissor Hinge - The front hinge system for the LSX-Series truck cover. This system allows the fiberglass cover to lift up and away from the truck bed when opening. This system provides the best possible fit at the front of the tonneau cover. Screen Vent Window - A frameless side window with a ventilation screen behind the rear quarter portion of the window, which opens outward using a crank out system. Vented Windoor - This side window operates as a side door with two locks at the bottom corners of the glass. It lifts up from the bottom for full access to the bed of the truck from the side of the cap. Additionally, it has a small screened sliding window in the center for ventilation. Walk-In Full Door - A fiberglass hatch style rear door that requires removing the tailgate of your truck to install, and functions similar to a hatch read door on a minivan. The walk-in full door design includes an integrated all glass, easy access door, allowing you to enter the rear of the truck without lifting the hatch. Windoor - This side window operates as a side door with two locks at the bottom corners of the glass. It lifts up from the bottom for full access to the bed of the truck from the side of the cap. |
